The spring equinox marks the moment when day and night are in balance — a threshold that humanity has crossed with fire and prayer for thousands of years. This year the invitation brought the Ruca Kreis team to Grenoble, France, where we held a temazcal ceremony to honour this cosmic turning.
A temazcal at the time of the equinox is a ceremony of transition and opening. In the heat of the sacred stones, the body begins to release winter: accumulated heaviness, what has been held tight, what no longer serves. The fire of spring ignites within the participants.
This ceremony took place outside of Heidelberg — an invitation to carry the fire of Ruca Kreis into new communities.
