Choreographer & Educator | Heidelberg
Chilean experimental contemporary dance choreographer whose practice is built on the careful observation of everyday movement — its repetition and variation as a language of the body on stage.
He holds degrees in Sociology and in Dance with the Sigurd Leeder technique, and has deepened his practice through Hatha Yoga training. His trajectory combines technical rigour with an open and sustained engagement with indigenous knowledge and the bodily traditions of the American continent.
In Chile he worked with various contemporary dance companies. He later travelled to Bolivia, taking part in residencies and retreats for actors and dancers rooted in direct contact with nature and the indigenous communities of the region. Along the same path, he spent several years traversing the Peruvian Andes, immersing himself in local traditions and the spiritual route of the Kapac Ñam.
In Germany he developed projects in collaboration with choreographer Jonas Frey, including a presentation at Felina Areal. Supported by three grants from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg, he created three solos forming a trilogy on urban space and its connections to human experience. He has also worked on interdisciplinary projects with musicians and filmmakers.
Since 2022 he co-directs Ruca Kreis alongside Martín Virgili and Mahmoud Zeynolabedin — a space for ceremony, art and community in Heidelberg.
He is an active educator in contemporary dance.
