High in the French Alps, surrounded by peaks and silence, fire meets a different kind of vastness. Tobacco — sacred plant of the indigenous peoples of the Americas — connects in this night the circle of participants with the circle of the mountains, with the ancestors, with the spoken word.
The Four Tobacco Ceremony is a journey of sincerity. Each tobacco opens a new space: speaking, listening, feeling, silence. Ecuadorian ceremony master Franklin Ollin Nahui led the group through these four portals under the light of the full moon. Juan Pablo Corro brought the fire and the connection to Ruca Kreis.
This ceremony was an external invitation — and at the same time a confirmation: the fire lit in Heidelberg has legs. It travels.
