The fire burns at the heart of the garden. The stones have been heating all day — they carry the memory of the earth. As night falls, we gather in circle and together open the first ceremony of the year.
This temazcal ceremony is guided by the four directions — East, South, West and North. Each carries its own energy and teaching: the beginning, the fire, the water and the silence. The group moves through these four portals of purification, seeking in each one a different mode of perception.
It is the first shared ceremony of the year at Ruca Kreis. A new beginning. The circle opens and closes as a community.
