Heidelberg, Germany<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eighth seeded guitar, northwest orientation.<br \/>\nSaturday, September 13, 2025<br \/>\nTree: Oak<br \/>\nTo Juan Corro<\/p>\n<p>The installation was made for the Ruca Kreis Art and Territory Center, in Heidelberg, Germany. Currently the guitar is also the center of the temazcal altar of the space.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Canto Llano is a ceremonial-sound action installed on the earth&#8217;s crust. It consists of planting a tree inside the mouth of a buried guitar. The sound installation begins with a ritual action that begins the cycle of growth of the tree and the decomposition of the guitar.<\/p>\n<p>A guitar is the culmination of an artisanal design made over centuries by different artisans and sound artists. It is a developing knowledge originating in a tree and its material, wood. Canto Llano presents the link between the beginning of this process and its culmination, as well as offering a poetic alliance between the development of biology and the growth over time of a work of art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaborating in this project<\/strong><br \/>\nJuan Corro<br \/>\nFernando Giunta<br \/>\nFederico<br \/>\nPamela Guruciaga<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guitars<\/strong><br \/>\nThe first guitar, east facing, was planted in the city of Casilda, Argentina, on October 12, 2017.<br \/>\nThe second guitar, south facing, was planted in the town of Nesodden, Norway, on June 5, 2018.<br \/>\nThe third guitar, west-facing, was planted in the city of Lausanne arr\u00eat Bl\u00e9cherette, Switzerland, on August 10.<br \/>\nThe fourth guitar, facing north, was planted in Los Acantilados, Mar del Plata, Argentina, on April 18, 2021.<br \/>\nThe fifth guitar, northeast orientation, was planted in Prague, Czech Republic, October 8, 2022.<br \/>\nThe sixth guitar, southeast facing, was planted in Pasto, Colombia, on February 23, 2023.<br \/>\nThe seventh guitar, southwest facing, was planted in Aviny\u00f2, Catalonia, on June 11, 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photographs<\/strong><br \/>\nFederico<br \/>\nMart\u00edn Virgili<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ruca Kreis.
